Vitamin gets booster from investors
Investing for a secure financial future sounds good on paper, but lots of people don’t know where to start. Help is now at hand for women thanks to vitamin, an organisation dedicated to helping women manage their finances the smart and savvy way. The founders’ mission, which is to change mindsets, engage in conversations and help every woman be financially secure, has clearly resonated with investors. The company has raised €1,700,000 in a pre-seed round on October 22, and vitamin’s health has never looked stronger.
In a nutshell, the vitamin team sets out to meet their goals by making financial information interesting, and by providing clear guidelines as to the way forward. They are powering up women’s financial growth in the same way that regular vitamins power up the body.
The funders helping us get more vitamin
Vitamin has been funded by a total of seven investors, the most recent of which are Marcel Schneider and Joern Pelzer. Schneider is an angel investor and the chief commercial officer at SumUp, which is a company offering remote payment methods and related products. Pelzer is a cofounder of Pinova Capital, and previously held a role at a global private equity firm.
The brains behind the vitamin concept
Vitamin was founded by two entrepreneurs passionate about financial health and wellness: Andrea Fernandez and Artyom Chelbayev. A graduate of Harvard Business School, Fernandez has had a lifelong passion for finance. She noticed over the course of an impressive early career that women often don’t know where to start when it comes to taking care of their financial future. Launching vitamin was her way of challenging the status quo.
Chelbayev is a business-minded, number-crunching creative and a people’s person. He is passionate about startups, providing commercial strategies for growing concerns and giving insight into pricing strategies in the B2B SaaS software space.
